Every day, there is the opportunity to work on your project in the FabLab. This is open to students and visitors who can work independently. During the walk-in sessions, anyone can get involved, and there are assistants available on the floor to provide support.

Saxion FabLab Enschede is conveniently located near Enschede Central Station, approximately a 5-minute walk away.

  • Follow the A1 in the direction of Enschede, which becomes the A35.
  • Take the exit for Enschede-West (Exit 26) and turn left over the viaduct.
  • Continue straight on this road (go straight at the first traffic light).
  • This road ends at Volksparksingel (the Ring/second traffic light). Turn left here.
  • Follow the signs for Saxion. On Parkweg, you can enter the visitor parking area on the right side. However, you can only park here if a reservation has been made through Saxion FabLab Enschede.
  • After 14:00 and 17:00, the barrier opens, providing more parking spaces (no reservation required).”

When visiting Saxion FabLab Enschede, there are several parking options:

  1. Paid parking near Saxion FabLab.
  2. It is possible to reserve a parking space in special cases (visitor parking at Parkweg 15). This parking space must be reserved at least one week in advance and is only possible for special appointments or meetings at the FabLab. Please email info@fablabenschede.nl, and we can arrange this in consultation with you.
  3. The nearest paid parking facility is the Q-Park parking garage.

Both at the Saxion Stadscampus visitor parking at Parkweg 15 and at the ‘Karel Willem Ledeboer’ parking lot at Kortenaerstraat 71, you can park for free from 18:00 onwards.

Please note that this is paid parking before 18:00!

When visiting the FabLab, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Register at the entrance and sign in at the guestbook so we know who is inside.

  2. Come prepared with a design for your project. You can find comprehensive descriptions of machine usage, materials, dimensions, and more on our website. Additionally, there are many tutorials available to assist you in developing your project. If you need help, don’t hesitate to ask one of our student assistants.

  3. Adhere to safety rules. There is a safety card with instructions on how to operate each machine. Review these instructions before you start working.

If you want to learn more or specialize in a particular technique, consider joining one of our workshops.
