Welcome to the FabLab: A Hub for Innovation and Creativity!

A place where ideas are free to grow, where the power of technology and creativity come together to develop solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. This is the FabLab: an innovation hub and workspace, connected to Saxion University. It’s a unique place where students, teachers, companies, and makers of all ages and backgrounds meet to learn, experiment, and create!

Our Machines

We have a wide range of 2D and 3D machines and various software programmes. Electronics are also available. It is the intention that you learn to work with the machines and the software YOURSELF.

Monday was all about scanning at @mimicfxstudio! Our colleague Emmy joined us as we compared different scan methods using the EinScan and our new 3D scanner, the Miraco Pro. These results will be used in our research collaboration with Saxion XR-lab and FabLab, focusing on digitizing the workflow for special effects make-up. Exciting times ahead for digitalizing the workflow of special effects make-up! #MimicFX #3Dscanning #researchcollaboration 📸💡💻
